Call Bets: Voison du Zero and The Orphans

Voison du Zero

A popular call bet in Roulette is Voison Du Zero. Not all land-based casinos use this call bet but the section of numbers it uses on the roulette wheel is very popular when people are playing the layout. To call this bet you shout “Voison Du Zero” by the amount you wish to wager. This section of numbers is situated next to the Tier numbers, but in Roulette terms, in a completely different place. While watching a game of Roulette, you will see experienced punters betting on either the Tier or Voison Du Zero. Not many punters mix the two. It’s very rare if you see that happen. They are both seen as completely the opposite.

The Orphans

The Orphans are situated on the wheel in between the Tier and Voison Du Zero. There are 2 ways of calling the Orphans and have their own name. Both bets make up the same numbers but are bet in a different way.

Orphelin Plein is an 8-piece bet. The numbers are wagered straight up. To call this bet you would shout the Orphens straight up and by the amount you wish to wager.

The second bet is called the Orphelin Cheval with exception to number 1, which is straight up. This is a 5-piece bet. To call this bet you would shout the Orphans Cheval or split and by the amount you wish to wager.

1 6-9 14-17 17-20 31-34

Neighbour Bets

Other call bets to take note of are the Neighbour bets. When betting the neighbours, you are betting on a number straight up and its 2 neighbour numbers at either side on the wheel. To call a neighbour, you shout the number you require and its neighbours and by the amount you wish to wager. For example, number 5 and the neighbours by £5. That would be a £25 bet.
